Government of Canada website states on its Nature-based climate solutions page: "Nature-based solutions are one of the powerful tools we have to mitigate and adapt to climate change, while at the same time these solutions can provide benefits for biodiversity.
For example, large amounts of carbon dioxide are stored in the soil and plant life of forests, wetlands, grasslands and in the oceans. Conserving these carbon-rich ecosystems allows carbon to be absorbed and prevents
carbon from releasing into the atmosphere, while simultaneously supporting biodiversity."
Isn't it time the Government of Canada does more than talk?

Eco-Actions in Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia):
Stepping in and stepping up to protect the Planet
An eco-action is any action or activity within a program
that is intended to have a positive impact on the environment.
For this reason it is often used as a synonym for environmental action.

For so many reasons!

Stop Aerial Spraying
of glyphosate-based herbicides on our forests. So much is being done to
grow awareness of the harm caused on all life by this unnecessary, carcinogenic practice. Lawsuits are being won. Laws are changing.
And yet, the chemical (and forestry) industries have deep pockets and connections to various levels of government.
Educating and defending must continue.

Stop Clear-Cutting. Across Nova Scotia, and the globe, much is being done to
grow awareness of the harm caused
on eco-systems, plants, animals and humans by these unsustainable practices. And yet, the forestry industry
is powerful and has deep connections to various levels of government.
And so, educating and defending continues.

On December 2, 2021, Extinction Rebellion Nova Scotia began their Camp-out Defence for The Last Hope Wildlife Corridor and protection of the critically endangered Mainland Moose.
This was the second year in a row for an on-going XRNS Camp-out.
Rare Lichen finds forced @NS_DNRR to call at least a temporary halt to cutting. But @XRNovaScotia defenders stayed put.
"We're as committed as ever to protecting this forest."
On June 21, 2022, after 202 days camped out on a logging road in Annapolis County, Last Hope Camp declared a win.
